Each team has its dwarves. What dwarves do you have on your team?

I think within every company there are times when we realize how different we are. I, even after 17 years, still discover new things about my colleagues, about how much we are similar, but also how different we are at the same time.

I was reading at one point in a book that "without diversity life would be boring." That's how I think it is in a team: without diversity, things wouldn't be in constant motion. Each of us contributes differently, we see things from different perspectives, but I think that is how it is natural for them to happen and that is precisely why we are constantly evolving together.

What is life without stories? Almost nothing... But with that in mind we tried to combine our work with childhood stories.

Therefore, I tried to make a comparison (as any evaluator does in his daily activity) with the names/traits of the 7 dwarfs in the story "Snow White and the 7 dwarfs", only that, this time, Snow White is part of the team, and without the dwarfs she would not have been able to survive, she also knows. As I said in the previous article, the team is a defining element within FairValue, and each member of the team is of great importance to us.

You remember, they were:

• Doc= The Wise Man;

• Bashfull= Shameful;

• Happy= Glad;

• Sleepy= Sleepy;

• Sneezy= Hap-Ciu;

• Grumpy= Grumpy;

• Dopey= Mutulica, the smallest and most popular of the dwarves.

All right, now let's take them one at a time!

Doc, The Wise Man, makes me think of a few colleagues who are usually more discreet, do not talk very much, but if you have a more difficult case you can call them quiet, they always have a solution, always argued. Fortunately, we have several such "wise men" in the team and we have someone to consult with in "special" cases.

Bashfull, The Shameful. We also have some colleagues here, who, although they are very well prepared and do valuable things for us, are still reserved (shameful), but manage, with time and with the encouragement of the others in the team, to overcome this state and gain courage. In some it happened faster to catch "wings", in some it takes longer, but we are working on this constant appearance. The important thing is that we support each other, and together we will develop harmoniously.

Happy, Glad. Here we really are more. Reasons for joy we always find and most of the time in simple things. A recent reason that brought joy to all of us was the return to the office of those who for the last 2 years have been working from home. I must admit that there are many moments of joy in our team, but their peak is when we see each other at the annual meetings, where all the colleagues in the country participate and see the hugs between them and the joy of seeing each other again. At that point we have confirmation that we are really functioning as a team, we support each other and we are happy to see each other again. Not to mention that parties are a real success!

Sleepy, Sleepy.  Yes, here is a delicate subject, but lucky that we have a program that does not involve starting very early, otherwise, hard with some of our colleagues at the first hour. With them you better wait for them to drink their coffee, to pass a little more time and only then to ask them a question. But everything changes when it comes to customer needs, they "wake up" immediately when they hear the phone ringing.

Sneezy, Hap-Ciu.  Lately, the number of those who resemble the dwarf in the story has increased, some of us have experienced Covid; now we "have fun" with some viruses and colds. However, we are cautious in interacting with customers.  Immediately summer comes and we do not hear so often sneezing among us.

Grumpy, The Grumpy.  Here it is more difficult to tell, but the fact is that we also have colleagues who resemble the dwarf in the story. We always tried to change them, but in the end we decided to take them for granted. As each "defect" also has a big plus, if you have the strength to see it, we have assigned to our colleagues activities where they "fit" better, such as the verification department. How else does someone take you seriously if you're always cheerful and cute, right? Each of us has our moments, the important thing is that we do our best to be as grumpy as possible, that it helps us first of all, right?

Dopey, Mutulica, the smallest and most popular of the dwarfs. In our team, "Mutulică" is not necessarily the smallest, but we have a few funny "mutulici" and always put on the socks. They are also the ones who, at the annual meetings, after interacting with the other colleagues, always hear that they can not believe how funny they are, but also what wonderful ideas they have.

We have identified in our team other "types of dwarfs" (here in the sense of people with different styles and traits), but about them we will develop in another article.

I know and I really believe that the differences between us have helped us grow as a team and I am convinced that together we are doing a wonderful job.

It is precisely these differences, which we knew how to streamline and value, that made #fairvalueteam currently one of the largest and most welded teams in the field of evaluations.
